Alastair Cook is next in the Subscriber Series. I first met him when he was one of the few people (then or since) foolish enough to book me to play live at an event they were involved with. That event was the first Hidden Door festival in Edinburgh back in 2010. It was also the first time I'd driven in Edinburgh and while it was fine getting there, I did end up spending about 40 minutes driving in loops around a freshly reversed one way system while my GPS had no idea what was going on.

He's one of the most prolific and hard working artists that I know and he's got fingers in all sorts of pies all the time (and they are usually very good.

Alastair chose 444 by Autechre for me to meddle with, i repaid him by attempting to carve some Basic Channel style techno out of it.
