A Knocking At The Ritual Gate

Tom Rimshot In the haze of noon sun, there is a small garden, surrounded by a wire fence with 5 wooden posts. Vines claim the posts and from them, flowers bloom. There's a gate in disrepair sagging to one side, stuck in the dirt, while its corner gently taps when wind pushes past. The air is a slow vibration, shimmering around the man-sized plants that grow within. A veiny purple color, they do not look terrestrial. Between the knocking sound there are silent words in alien tongue, seeping into your mind.
